Meikleour Arms Hotel & Restaurant Blairgowrie Perthshire
The Meikleour Arms is a traditional family owned INN in the picturesque conservation village of Meikleour, 20 min North of Perth, internationally renowned for its salmon fishing.
Welcome to the Meikleour Arms, a small family run country hotel, outside Blairgowrie in Perthshire that has been welcoming visitors since 1820. It was first established as a Coach and Posting House for the Inverness-Edinburgh route, where horses could be changed and passengers could have refreshments. It is set in the peaceful village of Meikleour, a short drive from Perth, Blairgowrie and Dundee.
This affordable hotel was originally used by Meikleour Estate as a lodge for its fishing and shooting guests, who came to the area to fish for the King of Fish in one of the world's finest salmon rivers, the River Tay. Today it has evolved to be equally as popular for fishing, shooting, walking, golf, and for those looking for history and beautiful landscapes.
The Meikleour Arms has an excellent reputation for its food and beer, which can be enjoyed at our bar, in our heartwarming dining room, or outside in the garden.
The five bedroom Hotel is run by Meikleour Estate, under the management of Alex McLaughlin. Classed as a 4 Star Inn, it is best described as Scotland's equivalent to a good English Inn. We have been awarded for the second year the Hotel of Excellence Award from Tripadvisor for 4.5 out of 5 scores.
We are looking forward to welcoming you for a night, a drink, your shooting lunch or a jolly good dinner!
Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
The Meikleour Arms Team.
