The Bar at Meikleour Hotel

The Meikleour Blairgowrie Hotels bar is described as “reminiscent of a classic English country pub, turning out superior bistro-style meals” by the ‘Lady who Lunches’ from the Perthshire Advertiser 29 th July 2008.

The hotel’s bar is cosy and welcoming with oil burning stoves in the cold winter months adding to the atmosphere. It has its very own real ale ‘The lure of Meikleour’ brewed especially for the hotel by Inveralmond Brewery in Perth; with a unique taste, fine spicy, hoppy aroma, biscuit malty palate, with a lingering bitter finish (4.2% ABV).

Each week there is a guest ale and you will find a full range of spirits and over 20 malts including a good range of beers including lagers, Guinness and Belhaven Best on draught.

The bar ,meals are very popular at both lunchtime and in the evening. The bar is split in to two areas:-

• Flag stone floor and stone walls, decorated with fishing and shooting memorabilia, where you can dine at the bar and have a drink with the locals.

• Comfortable furnished lounge bar area, where you can enjoy a drink or anything from soup and a sandwich( available lunch time only) to a three-course meal, from our full restaurant menu – the choice is yours.

Well behaved children are welcome and have their own menu.

The hotel’s bar is popular with locals whether coming in for a drink or bar meal – there can be no greater an endorsement than that locals think it is good.
