Small Country Inn & Restaurant near Blairgowrie
Meikleour Arms Hotel
& Restaurant is a small, family run AA 4*
country hotel, situated just outside Blairgowrie in Perthshire
and has been welcoming visitors since 1820. It was first established
as a Coach and Posting House for the Inverness to Edinburgh coaches to change
horses and where the passengers could
have refreshments. It is set
in the peaceful village of Meikleour, a short drive from Perth, Blairgowrie and
Dundee.
This affordable hotel was originally used by Meikleour Estate as a lodge for its fishing and shooting guests who came to the area to fish for the King of Fish in one of the world's finest salmon rivers the River Tay. Today it has evolved to be equally as popular for fishing, shooting, walking, golf, and those looking for adverture sports - who travel from afar to enjoy the hotel's quality comforts and facilities.
The Meikleour Arms has an excellent reputation for its food, which is endorsed by many locals travelling for meals especially at weekends, whether bar meals or in the restaurant.
